About Me
I'd like to organize seed swaps, distributed gardening, forages and nature education projects in RP and other parts of the city. As a part of Transition Rogers Park, I'm contributing to the development of a community garden at Touhy Park (and perhaps Pottawattomie Park, also). I've created food and flower gardens for youth programs in the past, and I'd like to create larger spaces and ongoing programs in the future. Ask me about my ever-growing collection of Datura seeds. Yes, thank you. I'm hosting a seed swap at the Rogers Park library branch on Saturday, February 20, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the community room upstairs. Address is 6907 N. Clark. It's all free.
I'll bring lots of my extra seed and I hope that other longtime or first-time gardeners will show up. I'm going to have materials for seed-starting and handling transplants. Some short demonstrations on sowing seeds and making recyclable pots. I can be reached at 630-234-5168 or damon@nmazca.com.
